KUALA LUMPUR: Cybersecurity incidents reported to Cyber999 from Jan to Aug 2011 totalled 10,700 compared with just 8,090 for the whole of last year.
CyberSecurity Malaysia chief executive officer Datuk Husin Jazri said the number was expected to increase by year-end.
“Based on previous statistics, the number reported never comes down but it’s always going up. What we want to do now, to address this issue, is to reduce the rate of increase,” he said.
