The Sultanate has launched the first Information Security Operations Centre (ISOC) at the Middle East level on Sunday.
The launching ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Hamad bin Salim bin Rashid Al Rowahi, executive president of the Telecom Regularisation Authority (TRA), in the presence of senior information technology and communications officials from the Sultanate and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Eng Yousef bin Ali Al Harthy, general manager of Information Gear Company, and general supervisor for the Information Security Operations Centre, said that the centre is an important addition to the field of information technology and communications, adding that the centre is the first of its kind in the Middle East in the field of information security operations and is managed by national cadres.
