Cyber security spending expected to rise

Demand for IT contractors operating in the UK could be set to rise over the coming months.
That is after a new report by PwC suggested that global cyber security spending is expected to increase by around ten per cent annually over the coming three to five years.
According to the study, the UK alone will see £3 billion spent on cyber security this year.
Barry Jaber, PwC's UK-based security industry leader, said: "Growing threats and awareness, and changes in technology such as mobile devices and cloud computing are key drivers of spending growth in the cyber security market."
The news comes shortly after small UK businesses were urged to outsource their IT projects in order to save money and free-up time valuable time.
Indeed, Martyn Hart, chairman of the National Outsourcing Association, said IT contractors can carry out the work "quicker, cheaper and better" than most business operators.
