Elite U.S. Secret Service agents are training Scotland Yard bodyguards to protect VIPS from a new generation of high-tech assassins.
Members of President Obama’s personal bodyguard unit have flown to London to help fight sophisticated cyber threats against prominent targets.
Police chiefs are worried computer hackers could use their skills to infiltrate security surrounding the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games.
They fear technology savvy Al Qaeda-inspired terrorists could try and break into computer systems that control building security, fire alarms, lifts and doors.
The move is a result of growing fears that computer controlled systems are a weak link in the ring of steel thrown up around potential targets.
The nightmare scenario would be a sophisticated electronic attack that drove victims into the path of a bomb or gunmen.
